I am a researcher interested in integrating LLMs into our daily life, starting with embedded devices, IoT, and robotics. I am working in Prof. Ambuj Varshney’s Weiser Lab Group in NUS, Singapore.
We have successfully integrated IoT devices with intellegent models, increasing the capabilities of traditional IoT devices.
Circa 2022, I was just another robotics/software engineer. I worked on websites, mobile apps, and ROS. I enjoy making simple and elegant interfaces for people to use.
Until I found LLM and it’s crazy capabilities. I believe AGI is possible and in not so distant future, most of our thinking can be done by synthetic beings. Now, it’s how we provide the same perfected interfaces and integrate them to our lives. The past 2 years I have been fiddling around with IoT, one of the simplest device, yet is all around us, and successfully integrated them with intellegent models. This is just the beginning, who could have guessed what the future holds in 5, 10, or 20 years time.
